Instructions
  1. Combine chopped walnuts, oats, salt and protein powder in a bowl. Add half of the almond butter and honey. Stir to combine. Next add the chocolate chips stirring again to incorporate the chocolate chips into the mix. Then add the remainder of the honey and almond butter. Mix well. I mixed it by hand this time, but have used my KitchenAid stand mixer before which makes it much easier! Finally roll them out into balls and flash freeze on a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper. 15 minutes in the freezer is plenty of time. Then store in a gallon size freezer bag and keep in the freezer. Take them out in the morning to pack in a lunch or take with you to sports practice. The chocolate whey protein energy bites will thaw easily and be ready to eat. This recipe makes about 20 protein bites.
